IT could be last orders for the only working mens club left in Ayrshire this week if a big idea is not found at a crucial meeting.
Committee members at New Cumnock Working Mens Club are warning it could be closed as soon as this weekend after years of dwindling memberships have left them thousands of pounds in debt.
Members will hold a last ditch attempt to save the ailing club on Wednesday, February 13 - and are inviting the New Cumnock community to attend the meeting to find a way of digging them out of their financial hole.
The club was founded on November 30, 1963 and will celebrate its 50th birthday later this year - if it manages to stay open long enough.
The crucial meeting will be held at the club at 7pm tonight - Wednesday, February 13.
