New Cumnock pool re-opens - now they just need the weather to change
NEW Cumnock Open-Air Pool finally re-opened yesterday - but the only thing making a splash in it was the lousy Scottish weather.
After months of toil, grind and community effort, the committee fighting to restore it opened the doors for the first time this year.
But they couldn't account for the deluge of rain that would make even the hardiest of souls think twice about stripping off and swimming in these elements.
This week the opening hours will be 11am - 7pm until Friday and 12noon - 5pm Saturday and Sunday.
A full programme timetable will start next Monday including early bird sessions, swimming club and lifesaving.
Swimming Lessons are being run next week Monday -Friday from 10 - 10.30am and 10.30 - 11am for 5-12 year olds, the cost is £10 per child for the weeks lessons.
