DEANNA AUSTIN was crowned Catrine Gala Queen in front of a packed crowd on Saturday, May 19.

AND THIS WEEK'S CHRONICLE CARRIES SOME GREAT PICTURES.

The football field at Cooperative Avenue hosted a variety of bustling stalls and events throughout the afternoon.

A Viking village scene featuring a children's sword fight and weapon display proved to be a big hit with those in attendance.

Other attractions included a bouncy castle, Kirsty's Critters and Owl Magic.

And it was a day Catrine Primary pupil Deanna, 11, and her royal entourage won't forget for a long time.
