Pals give Corah their backing
ALL SMILES: Mum Yvonne with Corah, sister Kirsten and three special friends, Hello Kitty, Micky and Minnie Mouse
PUPILS and staff at Drongan Primary have continued to show their resounding support for little Corah Don.
The school this month raised an incredible £550 which will go towards the establishment of an Ayrshire support group to raise the profile of her incurable condition.
Five-year-old Corah was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis in 2010, a rare disease which can cause tumours to grow anywhere on the body and lead to deformed bones and curvature of the spine.
But that has not stopped the determined P1 pupil from attending classes and mixing with her peers.
And to mark the worldwide Neuruofibromatosis Awareness Day on May 17 her school laid on a host of events to help raise cash for a new group offering advice for others in the area with the same condition.
Corah's mum Yvonne, from Barbieston Terrace, is behind the group and said: "I can't thank Drongan Primary enough, they have been excellent."
