Lawyer's anguish after legal aid ban
AUCHINLECK lawyer Gerry Tierney admits he fears for his professional future after he was banned from taking on legal aid clients last Friday.
Tierney was punished and removed from the criminal register by the Scottish Legal Aid Board after they carried out an audit on his firm in December 2011.
He now has 21 days to appeal the decision and is seeking advice about his options as he looks to recover from a hammer blow to his business.
