East Ayrshire residents are being reminded that they'll need to mark their ballot papers using numbers in May's local council elections.

Your ballot paper will list all the candidates standing to be councillors in your ward and you will be asked to number candidates in order of your choice using 1,2,3 and so on. You can make as many or as few choices as you wish.

East Ayrshire Council's 'election team' (pictured) is urging all East Ayrshire voters to have their say on 3rd May.
