Owner's fury as showroom left uninsurable

A CUMNOCK businessman this week blasted council chiefs over the road changes he claims have let him with a property that is worthless.

Robin Findlay, who own Central Garages in Glasinock Street, has been forced to shut his showroom after he was told the building could no longer be insured.

He's been forced to put in countless claims as the corner of the building has been hit by lorries and vans turning into Greenholm Road.

And Robin is adamant that this has been caused by the council's decision to narrow the road to increase the width of the pavement to accommodate the increase in foot traffic to the new council offices,
