Graeme will carry torch - then head off to Peru
MAUCHLINE man Graeme Strawhorn is set for a summer he'll never forget.
The 30-year-old has been handed the honour of carrying the Olympic torch through Maidens in June.
And once he's over the excitement and enjoyment of that, he'll dust himself down for what promises to be a much more gruelling and painful challenge.
The Ayrshire Hospice fundraiser is then joining five colleagues and friends when he travels to Peru to take part in the Machu Picchu Trek.
He said: It's something I'm really looking forward too. The summer promises to be very exciting."
