AUCHINLECK referee Charlie Richmond sensationally quit Scottish football this week after insisting he's had enough of the pettiness and lack of support from the SFA.

The 43-year-old called time on his 20-year career after taking charge of Saturday's First Division clash between Livingston and Ross County.

Richmond claimed he'd become disillusioned with the system over the last two years - and is convinced his career path had been blocked for reasons other than his ability to referee.
