'Dangerous' roundabout to stay

TRANSPORT bosses have reiterated their stance on a controversial roundabout in New Cumnock.
Fears are continuing to grow in the community that the roundabout, which was built at the junction of Greenhead Road and the A76 last year, could witness a serious accident.
A number of near misses have been reported at the site in recent months and New Cumnock Community Council has already voiced its concern about road safety at the site.
But trunk road managers Amey this week again insisted they have no plans to alter the road layout.
