Rebecca crowned Cumnock Young Citizen of the Year
REBECCA Findlay said she was hugely honoured after picking up the Cumnock Young Citizen of the Year award last week.
The 17-year-old scooped the prize in recognition of her voluntary work at the Ayrshire Hospice.
Rebecca has been visiting the Ayr-based home - that provides care for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses - every Sunday for the last 12 months.
And the budding doctor's dedication and support to the patients didn't go unnoticed as she was handed the prize by Provost Stephanie Young.
The Cumnock Academy pupil said: "I am really honoured to have won it. I don't see going to the Ayrshire Hospice as work. It's something that I really enjoy doing."
