Fury at Council 'cover-up'

Drew Filson is currently disqualified from carrying out his role as a councillor with East Ayrshire Council.

THE LOCAL SNP party were this week accused of dishonesty and being involved in a massive 'cover-up' operation after one of their councillors was disqualified.

And the bitter row could see them kicked out of power after the Labour Party issued a 'No Confidence' motion which will be voted on at tomorrow's (Thursday) crunch Cabinet meeting.

The battle emerged after it was revealed that the ruling SNP party had seen Dalmellington councillor Drew Filson disqualified from conducting council business on December 8.

Mr filson is currently fighting a sequestration battle at Ayr Sheriff Court.
