NABBED: quad bike

A BAND of criminals are roving rural areas on the look-out for easy pickings.

The spike in thefts and break-ins in isolated areas has forced police to issue a fresh appeal to the public to remain vigilant against crime in their community.

In the past month three quad bikes have been stolen across Upper Nithsdale with four rural homes in the Sanquhar vicinity also being targeted.

And last week two quad bikes were pinched from a secure container near Garlaff on Skares Road.
