ALL SMILES: Sir Tom was impressed by Ross and Vicky's presentation

TWO young entrepreneurs from Auchinleck Academy entered the Chambers to face the dragon on a quest to win a coveted treasure chest of £5,000 last week.

The challenge - issued to all East Ayrshire pupils by top entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter - was to come up with the best new idea for a product, innovation or business.

Sir Tom listened to and judged proposals from the top entrants from each of East Ayrshire's nine academies at council HQ on Wednesday, with the winner scooping a personal prize of £1,000 and £4,000 for their school.

And after a tense afternoon Auchinleck's Vicky Greig and Ross Anderson emerged victorious.

Vicky and Ross have worked alongside fellow Higher Business Management pupils Lauren Steel, Jasmine Barrie and Stephanie Lowe to create their 99p MiMovie mobile phone app idea.

The unique idea allows users to input their mood and the people they are with and once entered the app will offer a choice of up to 10 films which can be read through.
