OAP, 83, robbed by knife-wielding thief

A BRAVE 83-year-old has revealed how a knife-wielding thief entered his house screaming 'give me your money or I'll cut you up' in a terrifying ordeal.
Charles Hastie was targeted by a heartless criminal at around 10.45pm last Saturday in his sheltered housing accommodation in Afton Court, New Cumnock.
He was sitting in his favourite chair watching television when someone knocked on his back door. Thinking it would be a family member or friend popping in to check on him, he answered.
But instead the former sailor, who has lived at the facility for seven years, was confronted by a man carrying a 12-inch knife.
