Fury at plans for chemists in Ochiltree

PLANS to build a chemists in the iconic 'Green Shutters' building in Ochiltree have been met with scepticism and suspicion by the local community.

And many fear that if the proposals submitted by Pall Healthcare Services go through heroin users will come pouring into the town to get their weekly methadone fix.

But Glasgow-based Kismat Pall - the man behind the proposals - claimed that a methadone programme would be tightly controlled and that security issues would not be a problem. And he angrily branded those against him as 'selfish'.
