Nicola Benedetti returns to Ayr Town Hall on Wednesday 15th
February at 7.30pm to give a recital as part of the Ayrshire Music
Festival's Centenary Celebrations.
With her pianist Alexander Grynyuk she will play music by
James MacMillan, Strauss, Prokofiev and Ravel.
Nicola, who now has a world-wide career as a violinist,
first performed at the Ayrshire Music Festival in 1995 at the age of
seven. In 1996 she was awarded trophies as best violinist, best string
player, and best instrumentalist - at the age of eight!
It is Nicola's wish that the proceeds of the concert should
be divided between Clic Sargent and Sistema Scotland.
Tickets cost £15 (£10 for under-18) can be booked in
advance by downloading the booking form from the Festival website:
ayrshiremusicfestival.org.uk
Tickets will also be available at the Town Hall on the
evening of the performance.
