CAMPS are urging you to put your best foot forward.

Cumnock Area Musical Production Society are searching for members who would like to give dancing a go.

They are looking for people aged 15 to 50+, both male and female who would like to give dancing a go. They hope to develop a separate dance section to take part in shows and concerts with CAMPS. No competitions to enter, just some hard work, confidence and fun.

Their March 2012 production of 'Me and My Girl' will provide you with plenty of practice and an excellent opportunity to show off your new or revised dancing talent. You might have taken part in dancing in your earlier years or you might just enjoy dancing currently but have not had an opportunity to put your skills to use in public performance and fancy giving it a go.

There is no requirement for you to sing or act as part of the new dance troupe, however if you feel that in the future you would want to give this a go, you will be able to. Of course CAMPS are always looking for new faces to perform on stage, to help out with make-up, costume, lights and front of house. They meet twice a week on a Monday and a Wednesday evening.

Currently, as a group, they work with members both male and female and aged 11years to over 70years. The junior and senior sections work together in many of their major productions and on occasion they also have younger children as guests from various schools. They visit various towns and villages with concerts and pantomimes and members come from many different villages and towns within the area and are always open to requests from other organisations to assist with fundraising concerts where they can.

If you are interested in joining the dance troupe, the group as a whole or would just like to find out a bit more, contact President, Tom Campbell on 07424 069861 or producer Ciss McCreadie on 07990 751198 or visit their website www.camps.me.uk for more details.

Go on, shake a leg! You know you want to.

A friendly welcome will await you. We look forward to hearing from you.
