PLAUDITS: Talbot players take the acclaim of the travelling fans
KILMARNOCK and Loudoun MP Cathy Jamieson has heaped praise on Auchinleck Talbot's Scottish Cup run.
Following last weekend's narrow 1-0 loss to SPL cracks Hearts the ardent Talbot fan said: "Every Talbot player can take pride in a superb performance.
"It was a real team effort and a great advert for junior football. It was a bitter blow to have what looked like a good goal disallowed, but the players just got on with it.
"The fans were also brilliant, keeping up their vocal support for the full match and showing how to really get behind the team.
"It was good that Hearts acknowledged that the level of support was in excess of some SPL clubs.
"A huge amount of effort goes in behind the scenes and the committee, as well as manager and coaching team should also take credit for Talbot getting this chance to play on the big stage."
