Tough stance on anti-social behaviour continues
COUNCIL chiefs are expected to continue their hard-line stance on yobs after it was revealed that East Ayrshire dish out twice as many ASBOS as neighbouring local authorities.
And that no-nonsense approach means they spend twice as much as North and South Ayrshire Councils.
Figures revealed this week show that East Ayrshire spent £713,720 in 20011 tackling the huge problem of anti-social behaviour. This contrasts with North Ayrshire who spent £368,800 last year. There is no 2011 data for South Ayrshire but in 2010 they shelled out just £195,803 on the issue.
