AFTER last year's Christmas lights blackout, New Cumnock can't wait for their big switch-on this Sunday.

The Community Council worked tirelessly to ensure the town would be lit up and have promised locals won't be disappointed.

After this Sunday's festivities in the town, including the Christmas Robin Hood panto, community councillors will say a few words before the lights are switched on by James Hastie - the oldest member of the community council.
