Changes to wind farm muted after public pressure

Public pressure has led to major changes at a proposed New Cumnock wind farm.

Plans to build a wind farm at Ashmark Hill have now been changed after public consultation, including cutting the number of turbines by half.

The original plan from energy company RWE npower renewables was to have 12 wind turbines, but the revised plans mean there will now be only seven.
