Burns Tower repairs near completion

REPAIRS at Mauchline's Burns Monument Tower are expected to be completed by the end of the month, East Ayrshire Council has confirmed.

Workmen are currently fixing damaged slates, leadwork and stone at the iconic building.

EAC are working alongside Historic Scotland to ensure the tower retains its local identity while maintaining a "seamless appearance".
