A PROJECT designed to stop illegal flytipping on the outskirts of Dalmellington has been awarded a £2,500 grant from Zero Waste Scotland.

BTVC Scotland has successfully secured the funding to help tackle the problem on a popular public footpath which runs alongside the Muck Water and is adjacent to the B741 road.

Approximately one tonne of houshold waste removed from the site last year has been tipped onto the site again.
