Trees Block A70 between Cumnock and Logan

High winds tore trees from the ground beside the Barrhill Bridge on the A70, Cumnock.
Workers were busy clearing the way this morning after the road became blocked by winds last night.
Diversions were put in place by Cumnock Police Office.
Traffic for Muirkirk has been diverted to the B743 Sorn Road, Lugar and Logan residents will get through via the Rigg Road between Cumnock and Auchinleck or the Loganhill Road.
In the meantime until the roadway is clear commutters heading to the M74 will have to go to Galston on the A76 and the A719, before travelling to Uddington on the A71 and from there to Douglas.
