Airport Move Could Open Way To Windfarms

PROPOSED windfarms near Dalmellington and New Cumnock have been blown back - because Airports think they're planes.

But the owner of Craigengillan Estate says if the plans ever got the go they would be a "killer for tourism".

Bosses at Prestwick Airport are having to fork out for a state-of-the-art radar system so they can tell the difference between windfarms and aeroplanes.
