Nursery children share their gardening triumphs
NEW Cumnock Nursery celebrated their green-fingered success with an open day for their loved ones last Friday (June 3).
The children welcomed mums and dads and grandparents to enjoy the fruits of their labours selling herbs they had grown over the last few months - and by lunchtime they were sold out.
Happy faces greeted the Cumnock Chronicle when it popped along to capture the green day a far cry from the sadness which had hit the school at Easter when vandals trashed the garden.
The hooligans also destroyed the primary children's bottle greenhouse, created after they had spent a year collecting empty fizzy drink bottle but on Friday the school unveiled its new greenhouse.
Watch below to hear the children share their gardening tips.
