AN ELDERLY gran was being forced to travel SIX miles for a disabled blue badge despite a Council office just down her street.

Elizabeth Leitch from Catrine claims she would have been forced to stump up £25 for a return journey by taxi.

But after hearing the ridiculous circumstances, Elizabeth from Newton Street, was having to endure East Ayrshire Council stepped in.
