A leading cancer charity are asking people from Ayrshire to get on board for their annual festive ski and snowboard challenge to help people affected by cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support are challenging you to take part in their Santa Skiing and snowboarding challenge which will take place at SNO!zone Scotland at Xscape on Thursday 9 December.
The festive themed event will challenge participants to ski or board up and down the winter slopes 40 times - the equivalent distance in magic reindeer miles from Glasgow to Santa’s workshop in Lapland!
Participants will be asked to raise sponsorship for the challenge; the charity hopes that this year’s event will be its biggest festive fundraiser ever. All the proceeds will be used to fund vital Macmillan cancer services in communities across the West of Scotland.
April Andrews, Macmillan Fundraising Manager, said: “The event is open to all skiers and boarders who reach the minimum recreational standard at SNO!zone. Why not come along and show your support. The event will feature lots of challenges and entertainment as well as tobogganing. It will certainly be a great event for all the family to enjoy.”
If you feel up to the challenge and want to do something to improve the lives of those affected by cancer then Macmillan Cancer Support on 0141 952 0085 or email April Andrews on aandrews@macmillan.org.uk.
