NEW Zealand man Alex Sibbald has contacted the Chronicle.com with this request: ``I`m hoping that readers can identify the man on the left-hand side of the photograph taken about 1938. He was from an Ayrshire farming family.
The woman is Betty Stevenson, whose family farmed at Coylton near Ayr. The man on the right-hand side of the photograph is her brother-in-law, Jack Marr, whose family, I believe, farmed near Maybole.
