Netherthird group makes their pitch

PLANS for a full-size synthetic football pitch at Netherthird have taken a major step forward.

Last week a packed public meeting discussed the proposals for the flood lit 3G pitch along with a community garden.

While the efforts are still at an early stage organisers are confident there is sufficient interest for the development to be worthwhile and are now planning to asses the available funding options to push ahead with the ambitious project.

A new community-led group, the Netherthird Community Development Group (NCDG), has been established to develop the move.
