Ayrshire Diabetes day

Local people who have diabetes, or know someone who is affected by the disease, are being invited to attend an information event in the Alexander Fleming Education Centre at Crosshouse Hospital from 9.30am until 2.45pm on Saturday 11 September.

The event is hosted by NHS Ayrshire & Arran and Ayrshire Diabetes UK’s voluntary group.

People will have the opportunity to speak to professionals and will be able to learn more about diabetes from lectures and workshops.

Diane Smith, Manager of the Managed Clinical Network for Diabetes, said: “We hope people will be able to come along and find out more about the support that is available from both NHS Ayrshire & Arran and Diabetes UK. They will also be able to share their experiences about living with diabetes with other people. The feedback that we have received from people who attended the conference in the past show they really enjoyed the day.”
