CHANGES to Cumnock Hospital will have a "positive impact" says East Ayrshire Public Partnership Forum (PPF).

Last week the Chronicle reported how Councillor Barney Menzies believed the NHS has snubbed patients over the decision to axe beds from East Ayrshire Community Hospital (EACH) in favour of a new £3 million "state-of-the-art dental facility".

But the Cumnock Health Interest Group, created by the PPF, to discuss local health services and improve links between the hospital welcomed the proposals.

Chair of the PPF and active member of East Ayrshire Community Health Partnership Forum, Iain Brown said: "I am very enthusiastic about the proposed developments."
