Experts Praise NHS Weight Scheme

A WEIGHT-LOSS referral scheme run in Ayrshire and Arran has been praised by Obesity Experts in Stockholm.

And patients who shed the pounds thanks to Weight Watchers say the programme has "changed their lives".

Muirkirk man, Jim Ramage lost more than seven stone and 12 inches from his waist line and Mauchline Mum, Jane Keirs says she is the slimmest she has EVER been thanks to Weight Watchers.

Childminder, Jane from Welton Road who suffered from rheumatoid arthritis lost six stone. She said: "I feel so much better. You are able to do so much more. Being able to run about with the kids is great.

"I've always been overweight. Being able to go shopping with confidence now makes all the hard work worthwhile."
