FIVE-YEAR-OLD St Patrick's Primary Pupil, Luke Muir is upset and angry that someone could hurt his cat, Jake.

A FAMILY were horrified when vets cut an air rifle bullet from their cats leg.

The Scottish SPCA branded the attack as "yet another sickening example of a defenceless animal being injured by airgun misuse".

Mum and Dad, Kristin and Kevin Muir and son Luke from Milne Road, Auchinleck were concerned when two-year-old ginger tabby, Jake came home limping two weeks ago.

The parents thought their pet had been attacked by another cat but after a second check-up on Sunday, June 13 by Crossriggs Veterinary Clinic the family were shocked when surgeons removed a pellet from Jake's leg.
