Stolen Scooter Returned After Paper Appeal

A NETHERTHIRD pensioner was left devastated after thugs took his £2,000 scooter for a joyride.

But John Marshall, who still has three months left to pay for his mobility transport, believes it was down to the Chronicle that his scooter was returned.

On Tuesday, May 18 John visited Cumnock town centre on his scooter, had his hair cut, went to the health centre then got his eyes checked at the opticians.

But callous crooks nicked the mobility vehicle in broad daylight from his front garden on Netherthird Road.
