Campaigners say they are "over the moon" after councillors agreed to continue funding their playgroup this morning (Wednesday).
Weeks of battling to save the Mauchline Under 5s Burns Bairns group paid off when East Ayrshire Council's ruling cabinet voted to save the service.
The decision came at Shortlees Community Education Centre where less than a month ago mums, dads, grandparents and children trekked to oppose the cuts.

Shame on Cathy Jamieson for trying to turn this into a political issue. The Burns Bai
s put their case over well in a reasonable manner without turning it into a Party Political Campaign.
I have just received a leaflet from Cathy Jamieson, I notice she does not have a photograph of her Leader, Gordon Brown in it ! I wonder why not!!
