Headlining in front of hundreds of Belgian music fans won't be a nerve wrecking experience, says The Ghosties newest bass player, Graeme Faulds.

The Auchinleck band will cross the Channel Tunnel in an 11 hour drive to Brussels for the Knight Live Festival on Saturday April 17.

And following a three month hiatus which has saw the trio rehearsing night and day and recording new material cooped up at drummer, Malcolm 'Malky' Hunter's home in Fort William, the band are raring to hit the stage.

And new band mate, Graeme, 20 from Cameron Crescent, Skerrington says after being a fan of the Auchinleck veterans for so long he's grateful to finally be playing with the band. He said: "I've always been a fan. Rehersing in Fort William has been great fun. We can really put a lot of hours, just get our heads down and rehearse as soon as we wake up. It's going to be a massive event at Brussells but I think I'll be ready for it."

And the replacement of original bass guitarist Steven Lopez isn't the only thing that's changed - lead singer and guitarist, John Davidson has lost his trademark locks. The 26-year-old said: "There's a renewed vigour in the band. Graeme's taken to it like a duck to water. We're really excited for the future and wish Lopey (Steven Lopez) all the best in his future endeavours.

"We've got a couple of other gigs planned in Glasgow in the coming months as well. A full British tour, single release, and video is planned for later in the year as well."

And after returning to their old haunts in Scotland the three-piece will play at Mauchline Club on Saturday April 24. The bands new website will soon be up and running but in the mean time you can catch up with the latest ghostly goings ons by following them on Twitter @TheGhosties MySpace http://www.myspace.com/theghosties1 and YouTube www.youtube.com/theghostiesmusic
