YOU CONDUIT: Scott Mitchell, Margaret Murray and Douglas Reilly thank Jacqueline Sullivan of the Transitional Employment service for helping them get back on track to employment.
Job hunters say a service that helped them get back into employment has "turned their lives around".
And Margaret Murray, Scott Mitchell and Douglas Reilly praised the Transitional Employment service at Cumnock Community College which has run for 13 years with centres in Cumnock, Dalmellington and Kilmarnock.
Also known as the Conduit programme, trainees take part in a 32 week course assisting with CVs, interviews, work experience and computing skills.
Margaret was made redundant in January 2009 when the Shoe Fayre in Cumnock closed its doors. But after joining the programme, part of EAC Skills Development and Employability Service, she took on a work placement at Powharnal Opencast site, near Dalmellington.
And after being away from education for 32 years since leaving Auchinleck Academy, 48-year-old Margaret from Carrick View, Mauchline, enjoyed the challenge.
