New Road Was "Like Ice Rink"

A driver who skidded out of control on a newly-laid stretch of road says he watched FOUR more cars do the same.

New Cumnock man Andrew Hoffin and wife Lynne "lost all control" of their car last Wednesday on the snow covered A76 (New Cumnock-Cumnock Road).

The vehicle slid sideways into the Garfellen roundabout near to the Tam O'Shanter Cafe before landing on the grass banking.

The Hoffin's silver Volkswagen Passat was left teetering over the edge into a ditch for half an hour before being rescued by a tractor.

  And what does the SNP loving Chronic ill do.
  
  They report about a TRUNK road that ISNAE maintained by their lovey dovey SNP East Ayrshire Council.

  No anti skid surface on a doen hill gradient appalling funny how all the othe round abouts have them or couldnt they be bothered to go to the expense of outting one down

  this road surface is like an skating rink when wet never mind freezing the council should be to blame
