Dalmellington Road Closed

Severe weather has badly damaged and forced the closure of the A713 Dalmellington to Castle Douglas road.

The road will be closed for essential resurfacing for a week from Monday March 22 and diversions will be in operation.

East Ayrshire Council recently approved an additional £2m for road repairs following the severe winter and co-funding has been received from the Scottish Timber Transport Forum to assist with repairs on the A713, B741 and C82.

These routes are important to the timber industry for transporting timber from the forests to the markets.
