And no doubt it will be funded (as usual) by the good people of Dalmellington, New Cumnock and Muirkirk's money from The Minerals Trust.
EAC squander £20,000 on fireworks and we cannae get £3,000 for Xmas lights. The SNP loving Dalmellington Community Council kept it quiet that they were "TOLD" thurs nae money fur lichts. Yet Cumnock, KIlmarnock and wee Ochiltree could get them.
Why does the SNP loving Chronic Ill no ask these kinda questions.
Oh Aye, I forgoat, yull no want tae embarrass yur "Special Relationship" wae the SNP.
And yon Cathy Jamieson NEVER raises and issue. Wait till Davie Sneller gets elected, he will sort them AW oot.
Davie for MSP!

In reference to Mr Sloans article can I just say that the Woodroad Regeneration Forum have not approached nor do we intend to approach the Minerals Trust for any money for the Carnival Event.
We are proud to be a group of hard working volunteers who try extremely hard to raise as much funding as possible. In terms of East Ayrshire Council, I can confirm to you that in three years of our existence, EA Council have given this project a total of £23,200 and £17,000+ was taken back from the group for the removal of the old play park which sat in the Woodroad Park.
I whole heartedly agree that items such as a firework display which apparently increases morale is a total waste of the money that every council tax payer in East Ayrshire pays.
For my own part, I am only too happy to provide any information, help and assistance for anyone trying to raise funds so please feel free to get in touch.
