POLICE have issued an urgent appeal after a woman was robbed in Cumnock's McClymont Court last week.
The 46-year-old had her handbag snatched by two men who ran off in the direction of Drumbrochan Road on Tuesday night.
Officers are not ruling out the possibility the theft could be linked to two similar incidents in the same area in recent weeks.
At around 8.15pm on Tuesday the woman was walking in McClymont Court when her purse containing a three figure sum of cash along with bank cards and several personal items was nabbed. She was not injured in the attack but was left shaken by the ordeal.
One of the males involved is described as being between 19 and 22 years of age and around 5'8" in height. He is of slim build and at the time of the robbery was wearing a dark hooded jacket and jeans.
The second male is of a similar age and build and around 5'3" in height. He was wearing a dark coloured sports jacket.
