A kind-hearted Mauchline woman is setting off on the trip of a life-time today (Wednesday, February 2) - and it's all in the name of charity.

Libby Lyle, 37 will tackle the daunting prospect of Mount Kilimanjaro in a 12-day trek to raise funds for the children's charity Make-A-Wish Foundation.

And Libby, who owns the Ballochmyle Inn in Mauchline, has lost more than FIVE stone in her preparation for the climb up Africa's highest peak.
