This is Muirkirk's latest ring king in the making - Scottish Amateur Boxing Champion Jordan Barr.

Jordan recently scooped the prestigious title at the Blantyre Miner's Boxing club in the Scottish Novice Schoolboy Championship.

More than 300 hopefuls were out to claim the crown but Jordan kept his cool to take out Kirkcaldy star Alex Hollywood on a unanimous points decision in the final.

Barr follows in a fine tradition of Muirkirk fight stars including rising star Joe Kelso.

My wee brother is an amazing boxer, he can beat me easy, well its not hard i suppose, he is obsessed with boxing train nearly every day of his life boring or what, not like me i'm very out going and love having FUNN :D

my little brother is my hero.....i love him so much..i lay in bed and watch him sleep...he is my hero...i watch him very close in the gym ...and if hes strugling.then i give him water to help him relax, and feel motivated by his older brother me cameron barr, and yes im pationate about my little brother jordan ....i love him so much :)...if i could marry him i would...i love you jordan..im only across the room..watching you sleep at night . xxxxx
