Singer's Festive Wish

A teenage singing sensation admits she has only one wish this Christmas after reaching the final four of a national talent contest.

Nicola Cassells, formerly of Auchinleck, also celebrates her 20th birthday on Christmas Day and she says winning the competition would be the realisation of a life-long dream.

The H-Samuel employee wowed the judges in the Retail Search For Star competition, which aims to find talented people within the retail sector, throughout the preliminary rounds and in the semifinal her performance blew them away, securing the only perfect 10 out of 10 from one judge.

She made such an impression that the judge remarked, "Britain's Got Talent may have found Susan Boyle, but we've found Nicola Cassells."
