A Cumnock man suffered severe facial injuries after a vicious attack in his home.
Three men entered the 45-year's old home in Cumnock's McLymont Court between 10pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday, September 22 and launched a brutal assault, kicking and punching him on the head.
The victim is still in hospital.
The horrific attack comes days after a local grandmother contacted the Chronicle, calling on the Council to act on safety fears and clean up the area around MClyymont Court.

Has this not also happened to a man in New Cumnock? Men wanting to gain entry to a man's house and when refused, they belted the guy.
What's happening when we're not safe in our own homes?

The problem for cumnock at the moment is the increase in the drugs subculture in Cumnock. Someone is going out of there way to bring heroin and other narcotics into Cumnock from outside the area. In all probability its the same crowd who have been doing it for years and havent been evicted from their homes and beaten senseless by vigilantes.
I challenge one of the chronicles reporters to do a stakeout in Cumnock to catch these druggy vermin out. Start with the junkies who congregate around the shopping centre in Cumnock everyday!!
