The playing of the Frank Sinatra ballad 'My Way' was seen as a fitting tribute to the late Jim Sutherland.

Tributes have been pouring in for the Doon Valley Councillor following his sad passing last week.

Drongan people were out in force to pay their respects at his funeral on Tuesday while the flag at East Ayrshire Council's headquarters flew at half mast.

Cllr Sutherland passed away on July 15 after a six month fight against cancer.
