Police have warned parents and children to be wary after a Mauchline mum"s needle scare.
Lorraine Hughes"s seven-year-old son Connor was out playing with friends in the village"s Jean Armour Drive when he found the broken needle.
And Cops say if something similar happens parents should immediately be in touch to ensure the needle is safely removed.

Everybody knows that this wouldnt have happened if (the village) wasnt providing methadone for addicts who live OUTSIDE the area of Mauchline. They come from Catrine, Auchenleck and the surrounding area.
Mauchline should not have this burden when it should be placed in a more centalised appropriate area. Like Cumnock
There is no way the health board can justify on social or moral grounds having a methadone clinic in Mauchline. Its not needed and a waste of public money.
