Eighth Case of Swine Flu Hits Area

An eighth case of the H1N1 virus has been confirmed in Ayrshire and Arran.

Health secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: 'We are doing everything we can to limit the spread of the outbreak and continue to fine tune our preparations and procedures going forward while continuing to work towards securing the necessary supplies of an H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available.'
